Revise has a built-in AI Agent, but it also exposes an MCP server for external agents. This means any agent with MCP support can use Revise to write, edit, read, and share documents - collaboratively in our web-based editor or just by itself. All documents in Revise are DOCX-compatible, and sync in real-time with tracked changes. Revise MCP is free with no subscription tiers or per-tier caps - just generous rate limits. Capabilities
- Create documents from markdown
Ask your assistant to draft a document via `create_document` and get a shareable link, no account needed.
- Import or upload files
Use `import_document` from a public URL or `upload_document` for local files (Word, Markdown, HTML, text, RTF, ODT).
- Read and search documents
Browse with `list_documents`, search by title or content, or read a document as markdown, text, or HTML.
- Make tracked edits
Use `edit_document` or `style_blocks` to apply changes as suggestions you can accept or reject in review mode.
- Export in multiple formats
Convert documents to Markdown, text, HTML, Word, or PDF via `export_document`.
- Invite collaborators
Share a document with specific people as viewer, editor, or suggester using `invite_collaborator`.
