Local-first knowledge graph for developers. Watches project files, extracts entities and relationships via LLMs, builds a queryable knowledge graph with web dashboard and CLI. Provides 4 MCP tools: get_status, list_projects, find_entity, query_cortex.

npm install -g @gzoo/cortex

Capabilities

  • Ask natural language questions about your projects

    query your knowledge graph with `cortex_ask` and get answers with source citations.

  • Check system status and graph stats

    use `get_status` to see entity counts, provider health, and recent activity.

  • List and manage registered projects

    `list_projects`, `add_project`, and `remove_project` let you view and control which directories are tracked.

  • Find and search entities by name or filters

    `find_entity` and `search_entities` locate decisions, components, patterns, and more.

  • Review and resolve contradictions

    `get_contradictions` surfaces conflicting decisions, and `resolve_contradiction` marks them resolved.

  • Ingest files on demand

    `ingest_file` triggers extraction for a specific file without waiting for the watcher.
